Jumping from one car to another is a common and effective way to get the car up and running if the battery dies. Here's how you can do it:
1. Find a fully-powered battery car to help your vehicle make the leap. The car battery should have the same voltage rating as your battery.
2. Park the two cars close enough to each other that the jump leads can reach the batteries of both cars, but make sure they don't touch each other.
3. Turn off both cars, set the parking brake, and remove the keys from the ignition.
4. Open the hoods of both cars and find the batteries. Most batteries have a positive (+) and negative (-) terminal marked with a plus and minus sign.
5. Connect the red jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal on the dead battery.
6. Connect the other end of the red jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of a fully charged battery.
7. Connect the black jumper cable to the negative (-) terminal of a fully charged battery.
8. Connect the other end of the black jumper cable to an unpainted metal surface on the car with the dead battery. It serves as a foundation.

9. Turn on the car with an operational battery and let it run for a few minutes. This will allow the vehicle's charging system to transfer power to the dead battery.
10. Try starting the car with a dead battery. If it starts, remove the jumper cables in reverse order.
11. Keep the engine running for a while to ensure the battery is charged. It is a good idea to take a short drive to further charge the battery.
